FAQs

Q. How much do our services cost?
A. Pricing is based on your individual project requirements. We can bid projects per page, per hour, by the keystroke, or per recorded minute.  There are no minimums required.  We recognize that your business and project is unique.  Please call for a customized quote • 727-535-1066.

Q. How can your company save money?
A. We eliminate the need for your department or company to hire, train and/or supervise a transcription/translation pool, including the associated costs of benefits or overtime.

Q. What about confidentiality and security?
A.
All of our employees and independent contractors undergo fingerprint criminal background checks and sign a strict confidentiality agreement. Work is performed by native English speakers, or in the case of translations, by U.S. citizens or legal residents who are native speakers and certified in that language.

Q. What about quality?
A. We have a proofreading department that  re-listens to the audio recording to minimize unintelligibles and to ensure highly accurate transcription.

Q. What is your turnaround time?
A. Normal turnaround time is five business days. However, we can meet any project deadlines, including same day,  or end of shift.

Q. Do you have a call-in system?
A.
Yes. We have a 24-hour call-in system that is easy to use and can be customized with prompts for your specific needs.

Q. Do you provide foreign language translation?
A.
Our foreign language translators are state court certified and/or certified through nationally recognized testing agencies, such as ATA, ALTA, ACTFL, etc.  Many of our linguists have security clearances through various U.S. federal agencies.  Language specialties include:  Spanish, Haitian Creole, Russian, Georgian, French, German, Ukranian, Chinese, Polish, Tagalog, Portuguese.  Call us about languages not listed here.

Q. Why use a certified translator?

A. A forensic transcript must meet stringent requirements to be reliable.  Certified translators are trained in transcript protocols, research skills, experience in testifying as an expert witness, and maintain neutrality and adherence to ethical standards. A certified translator has analytic and problem solving skills, pays attention to details, and a highly tuned ear. The use of non-certified or untrained native speakers to translate materials less expensively puts your transcript or project at risk or can portray your company as unknowledgeable.

Q. How is payment made?
A.
We accept payment in U.S. dollars only by VISA, MASTERCARD, ACH, U.S. check, U.S. Money Order or PayPal.

There are no monthly fees or contracts required. We give discounts for multi-year contracts. Call us with your project needs and we will customize a bid. 727-535-1066.

American High-Tech Transcription can save as much as 30% to 40% or more of the costs of in-house transcription.
