American High-Tech Transcription, Inc., accepts inquiries via email. We seek local employees to work in our office in Largo, Florida. We also outsource work to independent contractors who may live anywhere in the U.S. All applicants must undergo a complete criminal background check.

If you wish to test and be placed on a waiting list, you may request a test and then submit all paperwork. IT may be several months before additional independent contractors are required, or you may check this web site each month for hiring information.

You must be a U.S. citizen. You must be able to undergo FBI and state police fingerprint, criminal background checks, at your own expense. Your native language must be English. You must be a native English speaker, unless you are applying for Spanish translation work and then you must also be a U.S. citizen and be completely fluent in both Spanish and English. We seek state or federally certified Spanish translators. Transcription tests required.
We do not hire beginners. We seek experienced transcriptionists only. Please note: "Typing fast" does not make you a skilled transcriptionist. You must have a knack for punctuating the spoken word and extremely good listening skills, as well as understand the content of what you are typing.
